With Amazon Clinic, customers can get treatment for a variety of common medical conditions—right from their phone. No appointments, video calls, or live chat required. By educating and empowering customers, removing obstacles, and saving them time and money, Amazon Clinic delivers an entirely new kind of doctor visit. But new experiences in healthcare are often leaps of faith.

From the colors to the illustration style to each headline, the Amazon Clinic brand is built to set people at ease. To provide comfort and guidance. To lend a helping hand in a space that’s often opaque and inaccessible. With this goal in mind, we developed the brand strategy around “Your health blueprint.”

The visual brand is anchored in illustration, which depicts customers navigating their way through the digital experience and their own health journey. And because health looks differently for everyone, we had the opportunity to celebrate individuality by drawing unique people who reflect the diversity of the world around us and within Amazon Clinic.

We also developed illustrations to depict each type of treatment available. These illustrations would not only live within the Amazon Clinic environment, but also alongside all other products on Amazon. Each image needed to encapsulate the most recognizable visual representation of that treatment, while being specific, clear, and visually interesting at a very small scale.

When it comes to health, people want to see themselves — and know exactly what they’re getting. While the brand leans heavily on illustration, showcasing lifestyle imagery evokes emotion and connects with the customers so they can more realistically picture themselves using Amazon Clinic.
